The 8i Experience app was designed as both a test of our internal iOS SDK and as a simple playback tool for hologram files and streaming via a URL. The app would allow users to playback holograms on their ARKit-enabled iOS 11 device.
We took the core lessons we learned from Holo and created a leaner, more streamlined Hologram player. While Holo had a large focus on creativity and characters, the playback app was designed to be much more functional, displaying information in a native, list-oriented way that users instinctively know how to use.
